Sarah K. Bryant, Ph.D.
I am an experienced professional as a leader, manager, academic, and consultant;
College of Business Dean at two universities, Professor of Finance and Economics, and
university and banking industry consultant. I am experienced in budgeting and planning
and in putting those plans into action. I enjoy working with people to accomplish goals.
Born and raised in Columbia, SC, I moved for work to Washington, D.C. (17 years),
London, England (2½ years), and then to Pennsylvania (15 years).
I chose to buy a house in Winnsboro 16 years ago. I moved to Winnsboro permanently
in 2017 and recently retired from Newberry College.
I am a Certified Lay Minister in the United Methodist Church. I attend First United
Methodist Church and serve in the choir and as lay leader. I am a member of Lions
International and the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce. I help others as much as
possible.
As Neil Robinson chose not to run again, I am choosing to run for County Council,
District 6.
My priorities upon being elected are to work with other council members to help the
community thrive through job creation and to increase transparency in council activities.
It is important to me to listen and to be sensitive to my constituents’ needs and to help
you to be active in helping me to help you.
Materials for Learning
Many educational materials in local languages are often out of date. We work with school leaders and publishers to ensure that students have access to current textbooks that are age appropriate and written in their primary language.
Continuing Education for Teachers
We create bespoke continuing education programs to address the needs of teachers and their student communities. From training on the latest technology to new pedagogical methods, we help teachers make their classrooms engaging and successful.
Support for Communities
Education happens within the context of a larger community. Our approach extends beyond the school to help ensure students have the necessary support to do their best learning.
“With the support from Lusaka, we have been able to serve our students better than ever.”
— Alonzo F., School Principal
